Department of Ancient history and Middle Ages of the Art History Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences invites you to the exhibition opening From the Capitoline Wolf to the Habsburg Eagle. Remnants of the Early History of Rijeka, on Monday, May 14th 2018. at 12:00h on Korzo.
With this exhibition we “moved” selected items from their original places (museum collections, churches, chapels, conservatory workshops, squares) and through photographs brought them to a wider audience. Also, data like their origin and/or where they where found, material, function and history of every item, showing their significance in reconstructing life in Rijeka (Tarsatica) in the time period of almost 17 centuries. The exhibition is sponsored by City of Rijeka and University of Rijeka.
The conference on the same topic will be held on Firday, May 18th, at 9:30h in room 138 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Campus, Trsat, 1.floor).
